Heureka

How to connect Heureka to Roivenue using the Conversion measurement API, what the default setup downloads, and every column the connector can bring in.

Heureka is the largest price comparison site in Czechia and Slovakia. The Roivenue connector reads the Conversion measurement API and downloads daily visits, costs, orders and revenue for each of your products.

Setting up the connector

1. Generate an API key in Heureka

Sign in to Heureka and open E-shop Administration from the account menu. In the Czech interface this is Administrace e-shopu.

Open Statistics and reports, then Conversion measurement API. In Czech these are Statistiky a reporty, then Měření konverzí. Generate a key there, or copy the existing one.

Měření konverzí sits directly below Přehled o výkonu a nákladech in that menu. The two are easy to confuse, and Přehled o výkonu a nákladech belongs to the older Heureka connector, which is no longer offered.

2. Authorise the connector in Roivenue

Add a Heureka connector in Roivenue. It asks for two values:

  • A name, which is only a label to tell this authorisation apart from others. It is not used to connect.

  • The API key from step 1.

You also choose the currency your Heureka figures are reported in, which is stamped onto every row.

What the default setup downloads

Creating a Heureka connector from the recommended template gives you one job, bringing back one row per product and day.

Every row is also stamped with Heureka as the platform, and impressions are set to zero because Heureka does not report them.

Heureka has no campaigns or ad groups, so the template borrows the two nearest things. Campaign is the Heureka portal category id, which is why campaign names look like numbers on Heureka rows, and ad group is the product name. Category names are not available by default. See below.

Costs land in cost from costs_without_vat.total, so Heureka spend in Roivenue excludes VAT. Worth knowing when comparing against a Heureka screen that shows the VAT-inclusive figure.

When the data refreshes

The job runs every day at 08:00 in the account's timezone, and each run reprocesses the last 30 days. Heureka restates figures well after the fact, so a number can keep moving for a month rather than a day or two.

How far back the data goes

The Conversion measurement API serves roughly the last 150 days, so connecting today gives you about five months of history whatever start date you pick.

Available columns

The tables above are what the recommended template downloads. Every column this connector can bring back is listed on Heureka - Supported Columns.

Adding one means editing the connector in the Advanced Editor, which stops that connector receiving template updates.

Category names

Two further columns, CATEGORY_NAME and CATEGORY_FULLNAME, can give the readable name of the Heureka category behind portal_category.id.

Troubleshooting

Campaign names are numbers

That is expected. Heureka has no campaigns, so the template maps the Heureka portal category id into the campaign field. Readable category names need the category columns described above, which are off by default.

Costs do not match what Heureka shows

The connector puts the figure without VAT into cost, and Heureka's own screens often show the figure with VAT. Compare like for like before treating the difference as an error.

Numbers changed for a day that already looked final

Heureka restates recent data, and the job reprocesses the last 30 days on every run to pick those corrections up. Figures within the last month should be treated as provisional.

I asked for a year of history and got about five months

That is the platform limit. The Conversion measurement API holds roughly 150 days, so Roivenue cannot request more.
