Delivery Ratio

Delivery Ratio is the number of orders that are successfully delivered to customers divided by the number of orders placed. This metric is commonly overlooked.

After all, if you receive one hundred orders and you want to calculate how much profit you’ve made, all you have to do is subtract costs from revenue. But wait, what happens if three of those orders are cancelled before they ship?

Suddenly, your profit calculation becomes complicated. Thus, delivery ratio is a valuable measure to monitor preventively. If it begins to rise for a certain market segment, hopefully you can investigate and fix the problem before it gets out of hand.

Parameters

Calculation: deliveryRatio = deliveries / conversions

Example: deliveryRatio = (10 000 / 9 800) * 100 % = 98 %
